The Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Bulgarian embassy in Tel Aviv have warned that public demonstrations are expected in connection with the US decision on Jerusalem’s status as capital of Israel. Bulgarians are advised not to travel to Jerusalem, Bethlehem and the Palestinian territories, unless absolutely necessary.

In view of the probability of demonstrations and protests in other countries of the Middle East and North Africa, Bulgarians in the region are advised to exercise enhanced vigilance and avoid public areas with mass gatherings, the Foreign Ministry says.
