A spark from the chimney set off a big fire at Father Ivan’s orphanage in Novi Han last night. No one has been injured in the blaze, said Father Ivan for the BNR’s Horizont channel, but added that major damage has been done. In his words the home needs money, materials and manpower.

All inhabitants have been evacuated and provided accommodation for the night. The children and adults who were put up for the night in Elin Pelin, Novi Han and Sofia are unharmed but will probably have to spend another day there.
