President Radev talks with Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Iliyev

In a phone conversation with his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev has reaffirmed Bulgaria’s support towards the construction of the Southern Gas Corridor. The purpose of the project which is also supported by the EU is to deliver gas from Azerbaijan through Georgia and Turkey to Greece and Bulgaria and other European countries. Presidents Radev and Aliyev discussed how Azerbaijani companies could participate in the gasification of Bulgarian households. The two Presidents also agreed that Bulgaria and Azerbaijan will benefit from the forthcoming opening of the direct airline between Sofia and Baku, the press secretariat of the Bulgarian President announced.
