The National Assembly Committee on Legal Affairs rejected at an extraordinary sitting in Parliament the veto imposed by Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev on the anti-corruption law. Ten MPs voted in favor, seven MPs voted against and no MPs abstained. The rejection of the Presidential veto on the anti-corruption law by the legal committee proves the lack of political will for real and comprehensive fight against corruption, Bulgaria’s head of state Radev told journalists. In his words, the Bulgarian citizens and media will continue to lead this struggle.
