Bulgarian Prime Minister has audience with Pope Francis

The head of the Roman Catholic Church, Pope Francis, welcomes today Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov, who is on an official visit to Rome and the Vatican on the occasion of celebrations of the Day of Bulgarian Education and Culture.

This is the second audience of Borissov with the Pope after a visit that took place three years ago on the same occasion. Before leaving for Sofia, the Prime Minister will also meet with Vatican Cardinal Secretary of State Pietro Parolin.
