1000 dams in Bulgaria need repairs

Speaking about overflowing of several dams in Bulgaria because of heavy rainfalls, the deputy head of the State Agency for Metrological and Technical Surveillance, Kiril Voynov, said that about 1,000 smaller and larger dams in the country need serious repair. Mr. Voynov also pointed out that despite the extremely complicated situation and heavy rainfalls there have been no dam failures and this shows that the state and the local authorities were working in a preventive way and things are under full control.
