Stefka Kostadinova’s world high jump record turns 31

Thirty one years ago on August 30, 1987 Bulgarian athlete Stefka Kostadinova set a new high jump world record at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. Stefka Kostadinova jumped 209 centimeters, thus beating her own personal best by 1 centimeter. The result of the celebrated Bulgarian athlete still stands.
