Bulgarian employers with modest hiring plans

The Bulgarian employers are expecting a slow change of staffing levels between January and March 2019. The forecast is based on a research of a leading Bulgarian recruitment agency. 11% of the Bulgarian employers are expecting an increase of staffing levels, 7% of the surveyed job-seekers forecast a decrease and 78% expect no changes of hiring plans. The seasonally adjusted Net Employment Outlook in Bulgaria stands at + 8% in the first quarter of 2019, which is the weakest hiring climate in the past four years. Strongest labor markets are expected in Plovdiv, Sofia and Varna. The employers in all 10 industries expect to add personnel in the coming quarter. The strongest labor market is expected by the sector of finance, insurance, real estates and business services, followed by the construction sector.
