The average happiness index is 56 points out of 100 possible. The average World Happiness Index for 2018 is 60.9 points, The Happiness Alliance says. The happiest Bulgarians are those living in families with two children. 74% of the respondents are most happy when they have social support from their closest ones. When speaking about factors such as mental and physical health, life satisfaction and balance of time, the results for Bulgaria are the same as the global indicators. Under the global standards in Bulgaria are indices like job satisfaction, participation in local communities and governance, standard of living, education and environmental quality.
