Premier Borissov discuses with UK Ambassador Emma Hopkins attempted poisoning of Bulgarian businessman Gebrev

The Bulgarian and the British authorities have been working together in the recent months on the case related to the attempted poisoning of Bulgarian businessmen Emilian Gebrev in 2015, the Ambassador of Great Britain to Bulgaria Emma Hopkins announced on Monday. Ambassador Hopkins met with Bulgaria’s Premier Boyko Borissov, this country’s Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov and Bulgaria’s Minister of Interior Mladen Marinov and discussed with them the information that one of the people involved in Skripal case was in Bulgaria when Gebrev was poisoned with a substance of the Novichok group. No substances from the list of chemicals of the Chemical Weapons Convention were found in the case related to the poisoning of Emilian Gebrev, Bulgaria’s Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov pointed out during the meeting.
