Economic relations between Bulgaria and Georgia have been undergoing intensive development in recent years, with high levels of trading. Bulgaria is in the top 10 of Georgia’s principal trading partners, said Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov at a meeting with his counterpart from Georgia Giorgi Kobulia.
Minister Kobulia is visiting Bulgaria to attend a session of the Bulgaria-Georgia inter-governmental commission for trade and economic cooperation. According to preliminary data for 2018 Bulgarian exports to Georgia are estimated at USD 207 million, which means an increase of 2.7 percent, while exports from Georgia to Bulgaria stand at USD 392.5 million, compared to USD 331.8 million for the same period of 2017.
