Azerbaijan relies on the Bulgarian gas hub Balkan, in order to supply not only the EU, but also the Western Balkans with natural gas, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov said in Baku at the meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart Ekaterina Zaharieva. All projects in the energy field have been fulfilled on time and Bulgaria is an important transit point, Minister Mammadyarov went on to say. I believe that the Southern Gas Corridor is important for the whole region, not only for certain countries. The gas interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece will contribute to real energy diversification. We are working under the fulfillment of the Balkan gas hub project and want to connect our gas transferring network with all neighboring countries, Minister Zaharieva told her Azerbaijani host.
