Agriculture Minister Desislava Taneva said in a television interview that the situation with the African swine fever in Bulgaria is currently very difficult. "The state has not failed, but more efforts could have been taken to prevent the spread of the disease in certain areas. Trainings related to the disease have been organised and all the country's experts, competent on the disease are working with the authorities,” the minister said.

Meanwhile, neighboring Greece banned imports of pork from Bulgaria and took preventive measures against African swine fever in border areas.
