Bulgaria is the EU country with highest fatalities in road traffic accidents in passenger car category

In the EU Bulgaria is country with highest fatalities in road traffic accidents in the passenger car category with 64 deaths per 1 million inhabitants in 2017, which is almost six times the lowest rate, that of Malta (11 deaths per 1 million inhabitants), data of Eurostat shows. In the EU an average of 23 fatalities per 1 million inhabitants were registered in the passenger car category in 2017.
