The African swine fever has demolished 15% of the population of domestic pigs in Bulgaria since it emerged in 2018. A total of 203,000 pigs were killed and euthanized, this country’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Desislava Taneva announced. According to experts, the population of wild boar in Bulgaria amounts to nearly 100,000, but their number has to be reduced to 20,000, Minister Taneva said.
