Tender for concession of Plovdiv Airport starts

A tender for the selection of a concessionaire of the Plovdiv Airport has started, Bulgarian Transport Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov has announced.

The concession period is 35 years. When evaluating bids, technical parameters will account for 55% of the assessment, while the remaining 45% will be determined by financial parameters. Applicants are required to have practical experience in operating an international airport with a passenger flow of more than 450,000 passengers a year; to have capital of more than EUR 500,000; to have financed at least 1 project worth over EUR 5 million in the last 10 years, as well as to have experience in attracting of finance. The minimum investment threshold is over 25 million euros.
