After a pleasant spring weather over the past week, temperatures in Bulgaria have dropped sharply and there is heavy snowfall, especially in the western parts of the country. The expected snow cover will exceed 10-15 cm. In eastern Bulgaria there will be mostly rain showers except for the northeast, where rain will turn into snow.

In the regions of Burgas, Varna and Dobrich dangerously strong gusts of wind are expected which may reach speeds of up to about 70 km/h.
Snowfalls will continue on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they are expected to become less heavy and temperatures are expected to gradually start rising.
