Employers demand resignation of Energy Minister

The Employers' Association in Bulgaria calls for the resignation of Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova. Employers are dissatisfied that they will lose 22m euros because of unpaid compensations from the state-owned supplier Bulgargaz. According to a bill submitted to parliament, clients are to be compensated for the higher prices paid for Russian gas for only 6 months, not for 9 months. This is intolerable for businesses, especially when the economy is on its knees due to the state of emergency in Bulgaria, the EU and the whole world. Gazprom returned this money for overpaid bills to Bulgargaz. Therefore, these sums must be reimbursed to us, employers claim.
