Nine Italian workers have been isolated at a hotel in the village of Kalaidzhyi near Zlataritsa, northern Bulgaria. They arrived to the country to work on the Balkan Stream gas pipeline project, BNT has reported.

Before being quarantined, the workers underwent all medical examinations and their health condition is monitored daily by health authorities. The hotel is being guarded around the clock and a medic stays with the workers. So far there has been no panic among local residents.
