Restrictive measures put in place in Rhodope municipality of Dospat over Covid-19

Stringent anti-epidemic measures were introduced in Dospat municipality, among them mandatory distancing, wearing of protective face masks in outdoor and enclosed public spaces and a ban on gatherings of more than 2 people.

The mayor of Dospat Elin Radev told the BNR that as of tomorrow, all kindergartens, sports grounds and community centres will be closed. The toy factory in Dospat, where three new Covid-19 cases were confirmed today bringing the number of infections in the enterprise up to 51, will be temporarily closed. The infection is thought to have been transferred to Dospat from Sarnitsa, where a Covid-19 outbreak was registered. The regional governor of Smolyan Nedyalko Slavov advised against travelling to and from Dospat.
