Levski female volleyball team disbanded due to lack of financing

The women's volleyball club Levski has been disbanded due to lack of funding. The female players from the "blue" team, who finished second in the standings in the last season suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic, have been released.
The Levski women's volleyball team is one of the most successful Bulgarian clubs in Bulgarian volleyball with 29 titles and 27 cups in Bulgaria. In 1964, the team won the European Champions Cup, and three more times it reached the finals of the most prestigious club tournament on the Old Continent in 1975, 1976 and 1981.
