For the 55th evening, protesters gathered in front of the presidency in Sofia demanding the resignation of the government, of Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev and calling for machine voting. Deputy Foreign Minister Georg Georgiev, who is also the national anti-Semitism co-ordinator, criticized the protesters' actions, saying they were reminiscent of "a plot from the darkest times in world history".

A national protest under the slogan "Great People's Uprising" is scheduled for tomorrow, September 2. Protesters from various cities in the country are expected to arrive in the capital city for the event.

"The ruling party has been preparing to gather 120 votes in the National Assembly in order to start discussions on the so-called new Constitution. We would not allow the mafia to create Bulgaria's major law. We will not leave until they leave power,"the initiators of the protest from the so called" Poison Trio" said.

Police have called on protesters to respect the law and keep public order tomorrow.
