The 66th day of civil discontent in Bulgaria demanding the resignation of the government of PM Boyko Borissov and Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev continues with a protest scheduled for 7 pm tonight at Independence Square in the capital Sofia. It will go under the motto "We Are Not Afraid".
The initiators of the anti-government protests, the so-called Toxic Trio, continue to recruit volunteers for their cause.
Last night's protest passed without incidents. For a while, protesters blocked the main thoroughfare at Eagles' Bridge in central Sofia.
Some of the dissatisfied citizens gathered in front of the building of the Bulgarian National Television to wait for the Minister of Social Affairs Denitsa Sacheva. She managed to leave the building with the help of police. In an interview with public television, Sacheva said the government intended to complete its term in office.
