World Bank: Quality of Bulgarian education decreases

Photo: Archive

Decline in the quality of education in Bulgaria over the last decade - this finding is made by the World Bank in its latest update of the Human Capital Index. The index predicts a child's chances of developing their full potential and being in good health when they reach adulthood.

Bulgaria is mentioned in the report with another worrying example - a reduction in the years of study.
The general conclusion is that young people in Europe are given the opportunities they need to grow as 'productive adults'. However, the Covid-19 pandemic threatens what has been achieved because of the restrictive measures imposed, such as the closure of schools, the World Bank warns.
