Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Tourism Mariana Nikolova promised to promote Bulgarian carpet industry as part of the programmes for cultural and historical tours in the country. Minister Nikolova visited a factory for hand woven carpets in the village of Kostadnovo, Pazardzhik district, BTA informs.

The Bulgarian company sells its produce to British and other royal families in Europe, as well as to a series of emblematic museums worldwide. Carpets made in the village of Kostanovo adorn more than 200 palaces in the UK. In Mariana Nikolova’s words, the unique Bulgarian carpets have the potential to become part of the European cultural heritage.
