The Joint Bulgaria-North Macedonia Commission on Historical Affairs will meet in Skopje on October 15 and 16, said Prof. Kiril Topalov, who is a member of the commission. The minutes of the last meeting, held in November 2019, must be signed. There was no online meeting of the commission, as some North Macedonian representatives claim. In June, the chairmen talked to each each other online, but there was still no signing, Topalov stressed, BGNES reported.

"Until 1944 we have a common history - this is our thesis. We do not deny the state identity of Macedonia. We accept the wording of their language - the official language of the Republic of North Macedonia, while in Skopje they stick to the expression "Macedonian language", the scientist said, outlining the differences.
