Five people were detained for vandalism during an anti-government protest in Sofia on Saturday night, the Interior Ministry announced.
Three of them are minors. Pre-trial proceedings have been instituted. Protesters broke the windows and the door of the GERB headquarters in the Oborishte district in Sofia. There was also an attempt to break into the historic parliament building.
The demonstration was declared a "nationwide protest rally" entitled "We are strong together", BGNES reported. The demands of the protesters are unchanged - the resignation of the government and the chief prosecutor.
Protesters blocked traffic in the Largo area, between the buildings of the acting parliament, the presidency and the Council of Ministers.
