An association with lead partner Glavbolgarstroy will have the right to build the section of Struma motorway across Kresna Gorge, the Road Infrastructure Agency has announced.

The cost will be 475 million Leva, VAT excluded. With indirect tax the sum will run to almost 55 million Leva (a little over 28 million euro) per kilometer. This makes the section from Krupnik to Kresna, which is 10.4 kilometers long, the most expensive road section ever built in Bulgaria, BNR’s Marta Mladenova reports. The deadline for the implementation of the project is 4 years 2 months.

The company Glavbolgarstroy was set up more than 50 years ago, and is the first to have developed basic standards in Bulgaria’s contemporary construction industry.
