Dimo Stoyanov, the vocalist of Bulgarian band P.I.F. passed away at the age of 45. The singer had been hospitalized in Sofia with coronavirus infection, his relatives told BNR.
On December 9, the band sent a call through Facebook for blood plasma donation because Dimo's condition was serious. A donor was found, but the musician did not recover from the virus.
P.I.F. was established by Dimo Stoyanov and Ivan Velkov in Varna back in 1992 under the name Resemblence. During this period, the band's songs were in English and their stage performances were mainly in Hungary. After 1999 the band started performing in Sofia under the name P.I.F. (Patriots In Fashion). In 2000 the debut album "P.I.F." was released. It enjoyed great popularity and received the award of the first Bulgarian music television MM for album of the year.
