First delivery of Moderna vaccines expected in Bulgaria today

The first delivery of Moderna vaccines is expected in Bulgaria and all EU countries on January 13. This is the second vaccine against COVID-19 approved by the European Commission. Bulgaria expects 2,400 doses during the first delivery, Bogdan Kirilov, Member of the Management Board at European Medicines Agency said at a meeting with Premier Borissov. 

On January 18, Bulgaria will receive 35,000 doses of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine. About 4,000 doses of Moderna vaccine are expected in Bulgaria on January 25, and another 35,000 doses of Pfizer/ BioNTech vaccine are to arrive in Bulgaria on February 2, BTA reported. Bulgaria has ordered over 12 million vaccines. It will pay over EUR 250 million for vaccines and logistics costs. So far, 14,161 people in Bulgaria have been inoculated against Covid-19, Bogdan Kirilov said further.
