Today is World Radio Day

Proclaimed by UNESCO, 13 February is World Radio Day, 13 February being the day on which the United Nations established the United Nations Radio in 1946.

In our day radio remains a valuable source of information for 88% of Bulgarians, indicates a survey of the radio listenership in Bulgaria, conducted by Nielsen Admosphere Bulgaria. 63% of the respondents say they listen to the radio in their cars, 45% - at home. The majority of radio listeners (64%)  say they spend an average of 30 to 60 minutes listening to the radio, and 14% - more than 3 hours a day.
