The vote on the fifth motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov's government will take place on Thursday, September 18, at 4:45 PM, said the presiding chair of the parliamentary session, Nikoleta Kuzmanova following the end of the debates, which lasted over seven hours.

The topic of the motion is "the government's failure in the areas of internal security and justice, leading to the deepening of the problem of state capture."

The motion of no confidence was submitted to the National Assembly at the initiative of "We Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria" and was supported by "Morality, Unity, Honor" (MECH) and "The Alliance for Rights and Freedoms." "Vazrazhdane" and "Velichie" announced that they would also support it during the vote in the plenary hall.

The Zhelyazkov Cabinet is supported in parliament by a coalition between GERB, BSP and There is Such a People (ITN), as well as by "DPS – New Beginning".

"A pointless exercise, a waste of time. I told them how much time is left – 3 years and 3–4 months until the end of the term", commented Delyan Peevski, leader of "DPS – New Beginning".
