Bulgaria’s Ministry of Tourism has paid another EUR 4.4 million to tour operators and travel agents in the form of state subsidies. The money will be used to compensate passengers whose holiday packages have been canceled due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

So far, 396 companies have received state subsidies to the tune of over EUR 12 million. The one-off grants amount to 4% of their turnover in 2019, excluding VAT.
