The Bulgarian Socialist Party’s Executive Bureau is calling an in-person meeting of the party’s National Council to discuss the current political situation in the country, analyze the election results and consider forthcoming decisions at the National Assembly, BGNES reports.

One day after the elections for parliament, the entire Executive Bureau of the Bulgarian Socialist Party resigned but leader Kornelia Ninova stated she would not tender her own resignation.

The parliamentary elections on 4 April put the BSP in third position, after GERB and Slavi Trifonov’s There Is Such a People (ITN).
