“It would be unrealistic for Stand Up! Thugs Out! to be handed the third mandate for the formation of a government,” Maya Manolova, leader of the Stand Up! Thugs Out! parliamentary group commented after Slavi Trifonov, leader of ITN (There Is Such a People) wrote on Facebook that as soon as his party was handed a mandate to form a cabinet they would hand it back “instantly”.

Maya Manolova stated it did not make sense for the President to hand a mandate to the smallest group in parliament. “Yes, we are active, we are capable of bearing responsibility but I do not think that it is normal for the big formations to be hiding behind the back of the smallest of them all,” Maya Manolova said. Nikolay Hadjigenov from Stand Up! Thugs Out!, who was one of the organizers of the summer anti-government protests stated that the status-quo parties with core voters are the ones that stand to gain if early elections are to be held during summer vacation time.
