Bulgaria’s Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works is looking for ways to pay more than EUR 300 million to construction companies for road repairs, announced the ministry's press office. A working group has already launched an inspection of the completed construction works on this country’s national road network, assigned by the Road Infrastructure Agency.
It has also been ascertained that so far, the Road Infrastructure Agency has assigned construction companies the task to do construction works for another EUR 1 billion, taking into consideration that the annual budget for such construction activities amounts to EUR 438 million. The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works noted that after the end of the inspection, the companies that have fulfilled their obligations in a timely manner and in accordance with the quality standards, will receive their money.
