Bulgarian Patriots – VMRO, Volya and NFSB – organized a protest in front of the headquarters of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) over the words of MRF leader Mustafa Karadayi that it is his party’s task to defend the Turkish language, interests and customs. Karadayi made this statement in Ankara during a meeting with President Recep Erdogan.

According to the Patriots it is inadmissible for the leader of a party registered and acting on the territory of Bulgaria to make statements which cast doubt on the country’s territorial integrity.

Julian Angelov from VMRO stated that the prosecutor general will be alerted to the fact that the MRF is an ethnic party and that it must be disbanded. The VMRO will hold a series of protests and close the border to thwart the danger of “election tourism” from Turkey.
