Play bringing together actors from Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia and Romania premieres in Pleven

“The miracle of St. George”, a play which is a Balkan co-production, is to have its premiere at the Ivan Radoev theatre in Pleven on 28 and 29 June.

The director is from Serbia, the actors are from Bulgaria, Serbia, North Macedonia and Romania. The play is “The miracle of St. George” by Rusomir Bogdanovski from North Macedonia. This coming autumn it will be the opening play at the prestigious international festival in Nis, in October it will be played in Romania.

“The miracle of St. George” is a fantasy tragicomedy, a parable about a king and a queen who divide their people so they can rule longer. The actors speak each in their own language, the translation will be with subtitles, Vassil Vassilev, director of the Ivan Radoev theatre in Pleven said for the BNR’s Horizont channel.
