Currently, no additional measures against the spread of coronavirus need to be introduced. This is what Minister of Health Stoycho Katsarov said in Parliament. According to him, the assessment of when, whether and to what extent measures will be implemented at national level, would be made after experts’ opinions were taken into account.

At the moment, regional measures can be introduced in Veliko Tarnovo and Burgas, which are in the red zone, Katsarov said. He did not predict when the peak of the new wave of Covid-19 would come.

As of August 22, 2021, only Vidin is in the green zone. The other 25 districts in the country (excluding Veliko Tarnovo and Burgas) are in the orange zone.
