The extraordinary epidemic situation is extended by three months, the Council of Ministers has decided at its meeting. Bulgarian caretaker Minister of Health, Dr. Stoycho Katsarov, justified the term with the fact that the average duration of a pandemic wave lasts about 2 and a half months.

"This deadline is a guarantee for safety and implementation of anti-epidemic measures, as well as border control measures," he added. Meanwhile, the number of people infected with Covid-19 and those hospitalized across the country continues to grow.
