The thunderstorm last night took a human life in the village of Lesichovo in the vicinity of Pazardzhik. A lightning killed a 41-year-old man during a friendly football match.
As a result of the hail last night, the most fertile lands near Plovdiv were severely damaged.
Apart from the damage caused to cars, roofs of houses, and solar collectors, the harvest in several villages in the Karlovo valley and the Upper Thracian lowland have been destroyed, BNR Plovdiv reported.
There have been similar cases in the region of Silistra where several villages were left without electricity for hours.
