Parents and teachers to hold protest demanding in-person school year

Photo: Archive

The civic association "Let's keep the school as a centre for children" is organizing a protest at 6 pm today in front of the building of the Ministry of Health in Sofia against distance learning. In an open letter to the Prime Minister, the President, the Speaker of the National Assembly and the Ombudsman of Bulgaria, the representatives of the initiative point out that because of the pandemic the needs of children have been systematically neglected and belittled and their interests sacrificed.

Therefore, the united parents, teachers, university professors and scientists call for an urgent and joint response from the institutions to ensure in-person training in the new school year, as in other countries around the world.
