New daily Covid-19 infections surge to 2,005

2,005 is the number of newly registered Covid-19 cases out of 27,124 tests performed in the country over the past 24 hours, up by 1,328  new infections compared to the previous day, Single Coronavirus Information Portal data show. The positivity rate is 7.4%, 

The highest number of new daily infections has been registered in Sofia - 405, in Plovdiv– 223,and in Varna - 133. 

35,353 is the number of active coronavirus cases in the country. 4,307 patients are being treated in hospital, 329 of them in intensive care. 121 have died in the past day, 87 more than on Tuesday, 1,038 is the number of recoveries reported.

11,370 is the number of doses of vaccine administered on 7 September. 1,209,100 is the number of people in the country who are now fully vaccinated.
