Young Bulgarian tennis talent Pyotr Nesterov qualified for the eighth-finals of the US Open Junior Tennis Championships in New York. In the second round of the last Grand Slam championship for the year, the 18-year old player from Cherno More Elit defeated Alejandro Pertusa, Spain.
