Bird migration attracts nature lovers to Lake Varna

On October 2 and 3, for the 28th consecutive year, Bulgaria joins the European Bird Days. They are marked by various events organized by the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds across the country.

Those interested can watch the migration of birds in the area of Lake Varna. Experts say that during migration, some species of falcons and eagles even spend the night in urban areas. One of their favorite places in Varna is the Sea Garden in the city, BNR Varna has reported.

Bulgaria is one of the first in the chart when it comes to bird biodiversity in Europe. There are 425 species of birds in this country.
