At the beginning of today’s Council of Ministers sitting, Caretaker Prime Minister Stefan Yanev called for higher voter turnout at the presidential election runoff.

“What was worrying during the past elections was the low voter turnout. I call on the public to go out and vote on Sunday for the president and vice president they think will govern this institution best. Be active,” Stefan Yanev urged.

The government handled the organization of the 2-in-1 elections on 14 November well, it also halted vote-buying, PM Yanev said and added: “The assessment of the foreign observers from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe was positive, and with good reason.”
