“On December 10, we will start taking action to vacate the offices of the National Palace of Culture occupied by the main opposition party GERB. I have no time to waste”, Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Culture Velislav Minekov said for TV1. Minister Minekov called GERB's accommodation at the NPC “looting” and “embezzlement”.

“The Council finds that a balance should be struck while settling contractual relations between the government and a media so that freedom of speech and journalistic work are not jeopardized”, this country’s Council for Electronic Media noted in a statement regarding the sealing of the editorial office of “Trud” daily at the Ministry of Culture.
