Boyko Borissov calls for lifting moratorium on electricity prices

Photo: BGNES

The government should immediately lift the moratorium on prices of electricity, heating and water for households and introduce adequate compensations for business. This was what GERB leader and former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said at a press conference.

GERB described the decision adopted by the parliament as lobbyist, as it led to over-subsidizing of the renewable energy sector. The former PM recalled that the deadline for finalizing the project for construction of the gas interconnector between Bulgaria and Greece, through which Azerbaijani gas was to flow from January 1, 2022, expires tomorrow.
