Surge in number of newly infected, Covid deaths reach 116 for a day

There were 6,761 new coronavirus cases in Bulgaria in the past day, which is 4,045 people more than the previous day. More than 75 percent of the new infections are among the non-vaccinated. 16% of a total of 41,983 tests were positive, according to the portal coronavirus.bg.

There are 134,574 infected people and the new hospital admissions reached 861. A total of 5,219 patients are in hospital as 570 are in intensive care.

116 people with Covid died in the past 24 hours. 110 of them were non-vaccinated citizens. The number of recoveries reached 928.

22,888 vaccines were administered on Monday. 1,945,548 people have already completed the immunization cycle. There are 405,133 people with a third booster shot.
