Access to classified information of chairman of the anti-corruption commission, Sotir Tsatsarov, has been denied. A day earlier, the former chief prosecutor announced that he would resign as head of the commission in March.
The State Agency for National Security have informed Prime Minister Kiril Petkov that they revoked Tsatsarov's permission to access information at a "top secret" level. According to Kiril Petkov, Tsatsarov is under investigation by the agency and the permit was revoked in the course of a security check after data obtained from counterintelligence. The Prime Minister has told BNT that he did not know if there was a link between the resignation and losing the right to access to information, but he hoped this was not the case.
